Trained from very early an age and practiced oil painting for many years, Yin Weiye(aka Franc) was a highly experienced painting artist already before he turned to Computer Graphics in 1997. He is the co-founder and Art Director of Taihe Interactive Technology co., Limited, whose investors include Xu Xiaoping, the most prominent angel investor in China. Its first video game, If. Three Kingdoms, is expected to be released in the middle  of this year. Being an art director for over a decade in the game industry, he helped to create many globally beloved games. His former employers included game giants like EA, 2K and GLU Mobile, a company ranked third in global game domain and of which he was the art director.

On 2004, at the invitation of Autodesk, he created a series of artworks to be featured by the English version of Autodesk’s official guidance book as 3DS MAX tutorials. Many of his artistic creations were displayed at ZBrush’s official gallery and used as promotional materials for its products. He appeared in a number of exclusive interviews featured by influential digital art magazines, such as 3D Creative, 2D Artist, Imagine FX, 3D world, to name a few. His works has been selected into top CG almanacs like Elemental、Expose、Painter and Exotique for many times. He was also a winner of the 5th Expose Master Award. (Other winners included former art director of the film Star Wars)
